Viewing Numeric Field Values
To start analyzing numeric fields you have to set class ranges. In some cases it might be difficult to decide how to set the ranges. ESTARD Data Miner gives you ability to create ranges manually or automatically. To create ranges, set the desired ranges number in "Intervals" control and click the check button. In the "Value" column the intervals are displayed. These numbers indicate the "from" and "to" values - separated by two dots. For example: if you see "0..10" in the row 1 this indicates the class range for class 1 will be from 0 to 10 and so on. The "Met in" and "Met In(%)" columns indicate how many records each class category includes. Note that some intervals may include zero records. To exclude such intervals check the "Hide empty intervals" option. After setting the desired number of ranges and hiding empty intervals you can adjust ranges using by clicking on an interval in the list and adjustng "From" and "To" values. Note that after adjusting intervals, "Met in", "Met In(%)" columns and "Class Field Values" charts may change.
